"Christmas"

Last night was “Christmas” and I had so much fun. It started at about 5 we all arrived and ate some food and slowly but surely made our way down stairs where the presents were. Now you may be asking why did w have “Christmas” yesterday? Well I’ll tell you. It was because my sister Julie, and her husband Kody and their two children Megan (age 3 ½ ) and Kyle (just turned one Dec 11) were going to be here. It started off that each of the kids were going to have Christmas brought to them by my parents, but ended up we all go to my parents and do it like we always do. One present at a time it takes a good 2-3 hours, but it’s worth it. So we had eaten and Kody was downstairs to video Megan coming to see the tree and all the gifts. Well Megan wasn’t sure about going downstairs by herself so I led the way with her. It was great to see her face her bright wide eyes as she saw that Santa had indeed made his way to papa’s (grandpa) house. We all got to open stockings and then it was on to one present at a time. So much fun I think my favorite part was when Megan got Wall-e on DVD, and she screamed at the top of her little lungs and hugged the DVD and was so excited. That and her flying Tinkerbell that she had asked Santa for was fun to. I enjoyed watching the little ones where the true magic is. I got some books and DVD’s and gift certificates and Steven sent me a beautiful little ring. It was great to have this special time with my family. Here are a few pictures I took again with my cell cause I left the camera. I’m so bad. They are of Megan and Kyle because Parker had some the day before.

Megan enjoying Santa climbing with lights
Kyle enjoys a sucker from his stocking

Kyle enjoyed this football from his stocking (he bit a hole in it after this photo was taken)

Merry Christmas

So Christmas has come and gone I don’t technically get to celebrate until Monday so there will be another update once the weekend is over or something. I did buy myself the twilight score on I tunes because it is so new and I didn’t have it on my list I have to order it off Amazon next, but I’m enjoying it. On Christmas I went with my parents to see all my siblings homes, and spend time with them. It was so much fun just visiting, and talking about Christmas passed. I enjoy hearing my parents stories. They talked about their first home, and the décor of it, and how 70’s it was, and my mom talked about her idea of presents and my dad talked about his hope for snow to catch Santa, and we talked about how there was chairs set out to stop the kids in my family from getting up to early. It was just a lot of fun. My weekend is full of things to do. I am going to lunch and shopping today, and Parker (my nephew) is having his first birthday Sunday Monday I am doing family Christmas so I’ll have lots to report on later. Hope you all are being safe and having fun! Fairy blessings until next time my friends

Christmas Carol

Ghost of Christmas Past
Ghost of Christmas Present

"Link By Link"

"God Bless us"

Marley's Ghost and Scrooge

I had a busy weekend Friday we went to see the temple lights sooo pretty, and had dinner then home. Saturday I had breakfast bought a nice Christmas outfit, and went and saw a Christmas Carol, had a gift exchange and today I went to Prescott. That’s the nutshell of what I did.
My favorite was going to Arizona Broadway Theater, and watching a musical production of Christmas Carol. The photos are from ABT for their promotions it’s a wonderful way to see theater. You go have a meal and a show, and this show was just as the others I have seen wonderful. I have seen Christmas Carol done in many ways, but not the musical, and it was a lovely way to share the emotions. My favorite scene if I have to pick just one is called “Link by Link” it’s when the ghost of Marley comes to Scrooge, and tells him about how his chain is built link by link and will get heavier. There is some great choreographing in this as ghosts come to life, and dance and tell how they got their links. Yes, there is a skeleton, but I got through that by really paying attention to the chorography that’s something I think only I would do. Anyhow I hope you enjoy the photos and have a merry merry Christmas!

Christmas shopping

OK I think it's finally done I finally have gotten all the shopping done and everyone has what they are suppose too, and at this point I'm sorry if I forgot you, but I am not doing more 'needed' shopping. I went to a store yesterday and ended up spending three hours more than I thought I would there, but I had fun. Except the part where my back started to hurt super bad, and those of you who know what happened to it. It was to a pretty sight, but I managed and I got a cute top for the holidays, but I want to get another one so hopefully with any luck I can get to a store this week or weekend. I have ave so much happening this week I am starting to believe that the time after thanksgiving to the new year is taken and made shorter. It seems we can never get all we want to do done in the time we have to do it. It will come I am excited I love the feel of the season. Oh yeah apparently I told my boyfriend story and never gave out what his name is. For those who want to know his name is Steven. Happy Holidays!

The boyfriend :)

This week was not as bad as last week except for one thing that I wish hadn’t happened, but apparently in the long run it needed to happen. We live we learn we move on, and though I think it was yucky what happened I am over it. Now on to more important and BETTER and HAPPIER things, okay, so apparently I’ve mentioned the boyfriend, but not explained the boyfriend. So here’s the boyfriend scoop for those who are not in the know of it. I HAVE A BOYFRIEND!! Here’s the story I met him online through a LDS site in June of 07, and we were like ok just talk here and there nothing major, then he stopped talking to me like all the others so I moved on. Then in November of 2007 he e-mailed me, and said he was in an accident, and that’s why he hadn’t talked to me for so long. I though sure ok likely story, but I’ll give it a try. We talked through e-mail off and on still no big deal. Then in June of 2008 we exchanged phone numbers and text each other, and called each other once in a while. Then it started to be more frequent, and it came up that I would be in California (where he had moved to) in October. So we decided since he wasn’t to far from Disneyland that we would meet at Disneyland, and we did. We had a WONDEFUL time with each other, and really enjoyed each other’s company. We continued to talk on the phone and text, and decided about a week later (Halloween) to try being a couple. So we are now boyfriend and girlfriend. So that’s the nutshell story. Here’s a tad more about him because I know ya’ll are wondering. He is from Ireland originally, and has been in the US about 10 years. He lost his mother, father and sister and has some family, but not much. He came to US and was going to school in California, and as time went on ended up in Utah which is where he was when I first met him online. His sister passed away suddenly about a year ago, and he had to go back to Ireland for a little bit to take care of that as he was the only one of his immediate family alive. He came back to the states and tired Utah a little longer, but it wasn’t working so he moved to California and that is where he has been since. He has a degree in writing, and wants to go back to school for the study of volcanoes (I can’t spell the word or say it) he loves books, can play piano, and is a bit of a ‘geek’ but I love him none the less. He makes me smile, and understands things about me that no one has understood before. He was born and raised Catholic and is a convert to the LDS church did serve a mission, but was sent home early. We are far from the perfect couple but we enjoy the friendship he and I have. He is looking into transferring with his current job in April to live here in Phoenix so he can look into going back to school, and we can continue to develop in our relationship. Now you know the boyfriend story and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed sharing it.

Tis the Season

This week has not been the best one in the world. Without getting into all the details basically it felt like I had more things thrown at me than I had time to actually process. A lot of things happened involving work, and I am doing better with the situation now, but let’s just say I feel EXTREMLY hurt and upset by what happened, and still feel it is WRONG, but I also know that holding on to it won’t help. So I have decided to let go of the things, and forgive. With the help of the Lord, and a good friend listening to me. I am getting better. I won’t go into details on it all, but that’s the nutshell of it. Now this weekend on the other hand has been a pretty nice one. Tis the season to be busy, and feel like there’s more things to be done than time to get it all done, but it always seems to find away to work out. Friday I went out to dinner at Outback because I needed my strawberry bull thank you VERY much. After that we went to Borders and back home nothing major. I did stay up late talking with my boyfriend through text messaging and that was a lot of fun. Worth the lack of sleep I got out of it too. Saturday I had a lot yet little happen. I went out with Rachel and Trisha we had lunch in honor of Trisha’s birthday (which is tomorrow, but she will not be here) I bought her lunch then the three of us went, and got a pedicure. It was my first time ever doing this, and it was so fun to be pampered for an hour and only paid 18$ (without tip) I got massages and now my toenails are a pretty Christmas red color. After that we went all over the place to get Christmas shopping done or near done for Rachel. We went to like a total of like ten stores to get things, and then I went to my parents to see my family for Tieman Tacos it was great to see my family and get updates for the holidays that are coming up. I then went out to dinner to finish celebrating Trisha’s birthday and Jonathan and Colleen joined us. It was so much fun and now I am super tired and glad tomorrow nothing is going on so I can sleep and get other things caught up before the week hits. Tis the season to wonder more than ever what happens to the time

Finished

So I have finally finished reading all the Twilight series books, and can talk about it. I just finished Breaking Dawn, and it was good they all were good books, but I won't go into details incase some of you are reading still, but those who have read them just know this. I still find Jacob, Edward, and Bella on the mountain arguing FUNNY and that's all I have to say for now :)

Bananas bananas and not a monkey in site

So this week has been one of those weeks where you realize how much you have, and how much you love, but due to reality you can’t be with those you love most. It was thanksgiving week, and work was normal for the most part on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday came along, and I got off work early REALLY early for me because all my kids were gone. So that was the start of me being alone for Thanksgiving. My room mate was going out of town to be with her family, and that is cool. My whole family was out of town for the holiday as well, and I was thinking about going to be with them, but work made that difficult as did the weather. For the first time in a long time it FELT like fall. I know for those that live in like the east it’s like that’s not anything, but for us here in Phoenix it’s a big deal. It was raining all day Wednesday and it was chilly it was BEAUTIFUL! I love the rain when we get it here. Thursday I got to sleep, and just enjoy the weather I had though about going out to eat, but I decided I was much happier at home. Friday came, and I went to work where I had only a few kids and was bored out of my skull, but at the same point I was entertained. Babies can entertain you no matter what I’ve decided this except when they are sleeping. I got a lot done, and then got to go home, and I went to dinner with Rachel. We decided to go to Outback Steakhouse, and I love going there, and we had strawberry bulls SOOOO yummy! It was great, and then we went to Borders where I tortured myself going I want this and I want that. I have been banned from buying anything till after Christmas just incase someone gets me something. Rachel was looking at a Twilight book, and they had a section of Twilight stuff, and I wanted to get a few things. She was like go ahead, and I was like I’m banned what if someone gets me it for Christmas? She was like just get the soundtrack, and I was like then if I get one for Christmas where am I? Stuck with two? She was like never mind, and then I found a book I wanted. It was fun, but horrible at the same time cause Borders is like the place for me LOL! After we were done there we went to Wal-mart it was nice we just kind of looked around for a few things, and I got the rest of my Christmas shopping done, and bought myself some cute new pj’s. I haven’t heard what I am doing with the family for Christmas stuff, and knowing my blasted luck I’ll hear about it like when it’s too late to go out and get stuff. I love my family, and hate when I miss times with them. Like when I missed the lake trip and they discussed things I missed that, and now Thanksgiving I missed, and I know they must of talked about Christmas. I’m not trying to separate myself from my family. I can’t help if work comes along and bites my butt. Anyhow, we went home, and then Saturday Rachel and I got together, and had breakfast at Sonic (yippee we all know I just LOVE Sonic. Since I live there LOL thanks to work) we then went to her house and made banana bread for her co workers for Christmas. It was fun we watched a movie, and baked, and she had extra bananas so I got them. This made me want to make my own banana bread. We went to lunch at a place called Dazzo Dogs its soooooooo yummy its Chicago style hot dogs and stuff. It’s a great little place you wouldn’t even know about if someone didn’t tell you about it. After that we went to Lane Bryant cause I wanted to look at the stuff they had since they had a great sale, but I ended up buying nothing. SO we went to Frys and got all I needed to make banana bread. I came home, and cleaned, did laundry and baked it was like 9 or 10 when I was finally done with everything. I was all domestic, and made banana nut bread with chocolate chips. There is about 9 or 10 mini loafs and my house smells so good. It reminds me of when I lived at home, and my mom would make banana bread the same way with nuts and chocolate chips. It is great, and now I’m in a cooking baking mood. So I have to go look through some cook books and see what more I can make. It’s officially the holidays cause I have to much going on that I’m not sure when I’ll do more cooking and baking, but that’s ok. I’ll keep things updated I’m sure I’ll have some down time. Keep smiling ya’ll! Fairy blessings and peace be with you always.

Twlight and Happy Days my thoughts

So over the weekend I did a few things. Saturday I went to see Twilight, and enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I knew going into it that my minds version and reality would be two VERY different things, but as far as I am concerned everything was pretty much how I thought it should be. If you haven’t read the books you will still enjoy the movie. I took two different people who have not read the books and they both enjoyed the movie. I know a total of three people who saw it without reading the books and enjoyed it and two of them want to read the books now. If you want no spoilers or don’t want to know details I suggest not reading because I am about to get a little detailed. (Just skip to the next paragraph if you want no Twilight talk)

I have lots of things I really liked about the movie, but for me I pictured Bella’s bedroom a little bigger, but I absolutely love the way her and her father interact with each other, and how their relationship is. I also had a totally more Victorian looking home in my minds eye when I read about the Cullen’s home. So, when it came to their home it was not what I expected, but it was nicely done, and I enjoyed it. Edward’s bedroom was very different as well for some reason I had this idea that his room was actually more roomy than it came out in the movie, but again you can’t put everyone’s vision into a movie right? I think I had a lot of moments I really liked. I thought it was funny when Edward asked Bella to distract him, so he wouldn’t go back and kill the guys, and she told him to put his seat belt on. I also really liked the first kiss scene I think it was the longest I’m going to kiss you moment EVER, but at the same point it showed how vulnerable Edward was and how fragile he views Bella, and when he feels he has gone too far, the disappointment he showed on this face was very good as well. I am excited for New Moon to come out and think I’ll stop talking about the movie now.

So then after that I went to Rachel’s we just hung out and relaxed went out to Olive Garden for dinner, and then home to bed. Today Sunday I went to see Happy Days the Musical. It was really cute I enjoyed it more than I can put into words. I loved the original songs and just the story itself. I remember watching happy days as a kid and to see characters like Mr. C, Richie and the Fonz brought to life was fun. I donated $25 to charity and got a poster signed by the cast. It was fun to a degree it reminded me of All Shoko up I think mainly because of the 50’s feel to it, and it did have a moment with Elvis and James Dean very nice.

Over all great weekend and hope yours was too!

so excited!

Ok so I just have to let anyone who is reading this know I am VERY excited to get the chance to see Twilight. The sad part is I have to wait untill Saturday, but I AM going, and that is exciting. I have heard so many wonderful things about it that I can't wait. Now mind you to me nothing can ever do justice to reading the books because there's so much to it that you can't ever put it all into a 2 hour movie, but I'm excited to see how they do it, and what's in it, and everything, and I will be posting about it, and hopefully seeing it more than once. I am also going to see a musical this weekend soooo excited!

I did more honest

I did more since my Disneyland trip honest. I went to the fair and it was fun. Mind you I don't go on rides, but we went for food and the displays which is always great. Saw animals and just enjoyed the beautiful day. Then the weekend after that I got blinds installed in my home, and enjoyed Madagascar 2. Then last weekend I had a wonderful HAGS (Have a Good Saturday)breakfast we have one every 3 Saturday of the month, and it's a bunch of us just get together same place same time and we eat and talk. After that I went to the mineral museum which was very interesting, and in the process we watched protesters walk by from the safety of the building. It was very intense they said some pretty mean things about LDS folks. It's their right to express themselves, and it was not out of control so yeah. Now I am caught up to where I am in the week. I have a busy weekend ahead of me and am excited. For those of you who know I am reading the twilight series I am still working on breaking dawn. I promise I"ll eventually get it done :)

Monday, November 17, 2008

Here's a quick update on my life since I dunno how many people have been in touch with me. My biggest news was in October I went to Disneyland. I went with my room mate, a friend and her husband. My room mate and I stayed in the Disneyland Hotel which is located in Downtown Disney. It was AWESOME! We stayed on the 10th floor and could watch the fireworks from my room if I wanted too. Smart me left my camera in Phoenix LOL! So we rode basically every ride in California Adventures and Disneyland. Well I didn't do much in California adventures because I was sick that day. I did Soring California, Bugs life, Monsters Inc and Muppet's 3d. I was not having as much fun that day as I could cause i was sick, but the group went on screamin California, tower of terror, and MUCH more. we didn't want to wait in line for a million years so didn't do toy story, but maybe next year. In Disneyland we went on everything be proud of me i faced my fears and did Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain and the mannahorn. Go me! I had a blast. I met a really nice guy while I was there as well, and that has been going great as well. As for work it's been going pretty well keeping me busy as I've had a change of my schedule, and now things are going well. Except for one parent who seems to REALLY not like my co worker and it's really bad, but I won't get into that here. As for my reiki I am a full reiki master now, and am enjoying helping others in life with this gift. I am also still teaching my fairy class once a month, and enjoying that as well. It's great to have a place where I can express the 'other' side of me, and not be judged. I hope this is a good enough update for now, and I hope to keep up now :)
